Activism

Being part of the movement against oppression and exploitation is core to Simran’s art and values. She graduated from Tulane University in 2019, where she studied Political Science and Gender and Sexuality Studies. She currently works for SisterSong: National Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective as their Membership Coordinator, fighting for reproductive freedom in the South. Before that, she was at an anti-incarceration nonprofit in Syracuse, NY. She is passionate about fighting for abortion rights, combatting sexual violence, and abolishing the prison and police state.
